Turf removal in the Phoenix valley

Grass comes out cleanly, the ground is graded and the old material leaves on our trucks. What goes in next is on the same estimate.

What the job includes

  • Measured and marked before cutting

  • Roots and top layer removed

  • Grading away from the house

  • Haul-off of sod and soil

  • Cleanup before the next step

How it works

  1. 01

    Step 1: Mark and measure

We spray-paint the edges and measure each patch in square feet. You see what comes out before it does.

  2. 02

    Step 2: Cut and lift

We cut the sod, lift it and take out the roots and top layer.

  3. 03

    Step 3: Grade

We level the ground and slope it away from the house so water goes where you decide.

  4. 04

Step 4: Haul off and clean up

Sod and soil leave on our trucks. We leave the yard ready for irrigation and gravel.

Questions about this job

Do I have to be home?

No, but we ask you to walk the yard with us first and to unlock any gate on the day.

Can I apply for the rebate after the grass is out?

Many programs ask you to apply first and may want photos of the lawn before work. Check with your city before we start.

What about the trees already in the yard?

We mark them with you at the walk-through. Roots and irrigation lines near a tree change how we cut.
