Questions

Questions we hear most

How much does turf removal cost?

It depends on the square feet, the slope, the materials, the plants and what happens to the old sprinklers. We give you a written price after a walk-through. The pricing page lists what moves it.

Do you apply for the rebate for me?

No. The application is tied to your water account and your provider's rules, so it is yours to file. We give you a written scope and measurements to attach where the program asks for them.

Will a rebate cover the job?

We can't say, and only your water provider can. Programs differ by city, have limits and change. Check with your city before you book, and plan the job so it works without the rebate.

When is the best time to plant?

Many desert plants settle in best from fall through early spring. Summer is mostly for taking grass out and building the gravel, paths and edging.

What happens to my sprinklers?

Many yards keep their pipes and convert the lines to drip. Darrell checks the zones at the walk-through, and the estimate says which stay, which change and which come out.

Do you speak Spanish?

Yes. Isaac and two of our crew leads do, and every page of this site has a Spanish version. Ask for Spanish when you call or fill out the form.

Are you licensed and insured?

Our Arizona contractor license is in the footer of every page, with a link to the state's lookup. Ask us for an insurance certificate and we'll send it.

What should I do before the walk-through?

Mark any plant you want to keep, and tell us where the sprinkler valve boxes are if you know. You don't need to be home, but it helps if you are.

How long does a job take?

It depends on the size. A front yard is usually a matter of days once we start, but the wait for rebate approval, if you're applying, is your program's. The estimate gives start and finish windows.

How do I pay?

In stages written into the estimate: to schedule, when materials arrive and after the final check. Ask us which payment methods we take.

What if it rains or the weather turns?

Monsoon storms and extreme heat can move the schedule. We tell you the day before and set a new date with you.

Still have a question?

Call or send the form. Isaac or one of the crew leads will answer, in English or Spanish.
