How pricing works
We don't price from a photo. Here is what the number depends on, in the order people ask.
What decides the price
Mostly how much ground we touch and what goes back in. Two yards the same size can land far apart.
Square feet of grass coming out
Slope, gates, and how far the truck can get
Gravel depth, boulders, pavers and edging
How many plants, and the size each comes in
Whether old sprinklers become drip or come out
Hauling off sod and old soil
What the estimate includes, and what it doesn't
A written scope you can read line by line, and hold up against your program's rules.
Included: measurements, what comes out, what goes in, plant list with sizes, irrigation changes, haul-off, cleanup
Not included: city permits or HOA fees unless the estimate lists them
Not included: the rebate itself, which comes from your water provider
What happens at the walk-through
Someone from the crew walks the yard with you. We measure, look at the slope and the gate, find the sprinkler valves and photograph the lawn. We write down what you want to keep.
Rebates, permits and your water provider
The rebate is between you and your water provider. Rules, limits and amounts differ by city and change, so check with your city. Many programs ask you to apply before any grass comes out. We plan the job so it still makes sense if you aren't approved.
When you get the number
After the walk-through, in writing. It is one price for the scope on the page, with the payment stages beside it. If you change the scope, the estimate changes with it, and we say so before we start.
Programs and rebate amounts belong to your water provider. Check with your city.
Payment
How payment is staged
The estimate sets the stages and the amount of each. Ask which payment methods we take.
- 01
To schedule
A deposit puts the job on the calendar.
- 02
When materials arrive
A second payment when gravel, boulders and plants are on site.
- 03
After the final check
The balance is due when we've walked the yard and run every zone with you.
Get the number in writing
